From ‘Fake Gay News’: New Handbag For Dykes Comes With Convenient Femme Carrier

 

NEW YORK, NY- At the recently held Association of Luggage and Handbag Manufacturers Expo, a new line of handbags was unveiled designed exclusively for lesbians who don’t feel comfortable carrying a purse. Called the “That’s My Bag” collection, the line offers the latest styles and colors, and one distinctive feature: each purse comes with its own matching girl carrier.

Cindy Perkins, spokeswoman for “That’s My Bag” said, “Our market research has shown us there is a desperate need for a purse like this. Some lesbians wouldn’t be caught dead carrying a purse, but they still need a place to put their keys, wallet, cell phone, ChapStick, iPod and Swiss Army Ranger Pocket Knife.”

Touted to be as stylish as it is practical, a “That’s My Bag” purse with girl carrier offers less feminine lesbians the opportunity to unburden their pockets from unwanted weight and unsightly bulges, in addition to giving the owner an attractive, feminine companion. The fall collection offers rich, imported leathers in autumnal colors with earthy brunette carriers. The spring and summer lines on display at the expo boast lightweight canvas casuals with blondes wearing cute sandals. Small black clutches for those special nights out on the town come with auburn beauties in matching black cocktail dresses.

The designers at “That’s My Bag” feel they’ve created something unique and sorely needed. “We gained a wealth of information from our early prototypes and test subjects,” said head designer Nikki Shea. “Butches refuse to carry a purse,” she explained, “but they still need a way to carry their personal items, especially the single ones who don’t have girlfriends to take on that task.”
